I hope you had a fun half-term and are ready to get back to some work!

Here are your suggested learning activities for Monday.

Monday - Suggested Learning Tasks

Letters and Sounds - Lesson 26

Please be aware that this term you will notice that the activities posted on the class blogs will be a little different from what you have been used to previously, for example, they may not always include an English and Maths lesson. This is for several reasons, i) there will be a focus on Well Being for the children (in and out of school) as we move through the Covid-19 journey; ii) normally during the summer term we have a range of curriculum focus weeks; iii) to ensure consistency for groups both attending school, or remaining at home. This approach will enable teaching staff to manage providing the planning for both groups in a workable manner.

This week, the school will focus on Well Being in our school community and reflecting on the changes we have all had to make over the last two months. We will also be enjoying some new P.E activities; the weather forecast is good to get out and about!

As before, for those at home, please complete as much or as little as you can, there are no expectations to complete all the work. We will aim to offer alternatives/ideas to address any resource difficulties. However, please feel free to change; adapt to suit your circumstances. There are of course resources such as those on BBC Bitesize that you can use to support you at home. Remember, just do as much as you are able to!

PTA Logo Challenge!

The PTA have challenged the pupils of Holy Apostles’ School to design a PTA logo. 

The winning design or combination of designs will be made into a logo that will be used on our letterhead and social media pages. 

The winner(s) will also receive a prize in the form of a £10 voucher of their choice.

The logo should ideally

• Include the words Holy Apostles’ Primary  School PTA
• Not be too intricate
• Be colourful

Please take a good quality photo of your design and send it to 
pta@holyapostles.gloucs.sch.uk.

The closing date will be Monday 1st June 2020.

Here is Amy celebrating VE day. Look at that amazing bunting! It looks like you had a fun day in the sunshine! 🌞

Elsie has been doing some awesome writing about her perfect dragon. 🐉 That looks brilliant Elsie! 

Here is Elsie with her symmetry butterfly pizza. That looks delicious! 🦋🍕

Flossy has been reading Fantastic Mr Fox by herself! 🦊 She enjoyed it so much, she wrote a super book review about it! Brilliant Flossy! ⭐

Here is Lily showing us her awesome symmetrical butterfly! 🦋 Look at all those brilliant 2D shapes too! 

Lily has also been spending time in the garden. She has made a wonderful daisy chain! How beautiful! 🌼

Here is Sophie on a walk. Look at her beautiful bunch of flowers that she picked herself! 🌼 A budding florist!  

Zaida has been completing some wonderful writing from the blog. Look at that neat handwriting! ⭐

Amy has been enjoying the English tasks. Super work Amy! ⭐

Dylan went on a minibeast hunt in his garden and look what he found! A newt! That is awesome Dylan, well done! I wonder if anyone knows which microhabitat a newt would live in? 😃

I think this has to be my favourite photo ever. 💗 Lily has decided that she should put on her best sparkly dress and a rather fab pair of pink wellies and splash in the puddles! What a great thing to do! I might have to give that a go next time it rains...💧😄

Here Lily is enjoying some baking and biscuit decorating with her brother. Two very big smiles! It looks like Lily has lost a few teeth since I last saw her. I have also heard that the Tooth Fairy is classed as a key worker, so don't panic if you loose a tooth! 🧚

Here Oscar is creating his Van Gogh inpsired art! 😊

Oscar found a huge branch and decided to measure it using his feet. It measured 24 of Oscar's feet! 😊
